MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals have climbed into the rankings just six games into the
Jason Eck era. The Vandals went into Washington-Grizzly Stadium and topple No. 3 Montana 30-23 and are now 4-2 on the season, including 4-0 against FCS opponents.
For their efforts, the Vandals jumped to 17th in the FCS STATS Perform Poll and 24th in the FCS Coaches Poll. It is the first time for the Vandals in the poll since the Spring 2021 season when Idaho was ranked 24th in the March 29th poll.
The Vandals, led by a physical defense and outstanding freshman quarterback
Gevani McCoy have won four-straight games for the first time since the 2019 season and are 3-0 in league play for the first time since 2006. A win Saturday would put them at 4-0 in league play for the first time since 1994.
The 17th-ranked Vandals welcome Portland State into the Kibbie Dome Saturday for a noon kickoff. Tickets are available by calling 208-885-6466 or by visiting GoVandals.com/tickets.
