MOSCOW, Idaho -- The Idaho volleyball team (4-17, 1-8 BSC) fell in three sets to Montana State (9-13, 5-5 BSC), 22-25, 16-25, 22-25, Thursday night on ICCU Court at Memorial Gym.
Freshman
Taryn Vrieling led the team in kills with nine while outside hitter
Olivia Gloeckner pitched in 7.
Kate Doorn and
Hailey Pelton split time at setter for Idaho, as Doorn posted 15 assists and Pelton added 9 assists.
Buoying the Vandal defensive effort were middle blockers
Travel Morris and
Julia Dickeson. The pair each recorded four blocks, including two solos. Libero
Aine Doty had a team-high nine digs on the night, while Vrieling and Doorn each added seven apiece.
For the Bobcats, Kira Thomsen and Jordan Radick each added double-digit kills for MSU, with 11 from Radick and 10 by Thomsen.
Up next, the Vandals return to Memorial Gym Saturday at 1 p.m. for a matchup against Montana. Saturday's match will be televised via ESPN+.
