The Vandals will look to end a three-game losing streak on Wednesday after most recently falling at home to Utah Tech, 81-71. Idaho battled back from down 18 (31-13) in the first half to make it a one-point game, but the Trailblazers would pull away in the end to secure the victory. The Vandals shot its second highest team field goal percentage of the season, going 28-52 (53.8%) from the field.
Forward/center Isaac Jones continued to be dominant for the Vandals on the offensive end, scoring a personal best 25 points on 11 for 13 shooting. Guard Divant'e Moffitt recorded his fourth double figure point performance of the season with 16 points, while Rashad Smith and Yusef Salih rounded out the scoring with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Scouting the Mustangs
Cal Poly enters the season 1-3 overall and 1-1 at home. The Mustangs picked up a 94-59 season opening victory over Bethesda University and posted losses to San Francisco (48-60), Stanford (43-80) and Mount St. Mary's (68-73).
Three Mustangs score in double figures, including a team-high 11.8 points per game on 60 percent shooting from forward/center Alimamy Koroma. Trevon Taylor adds 11.3 points a game and a team best 6.8 boards per game, while Chance Hunter rounds out Cal Poly's top three scorers.
Offensively, Cal Poly averages 63.3 points per game while shooting 41.4 percent from the field.
Series History
The Vandals hold a 12-8 all-time series record against Cal Poly. Idaho is 4-4 on the road and 3-2 over the last five matchups against the Mustangs, including a 67-63 loss at the SoCal Challenge Tournament last year in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
Scouting the Tigers
Pacific is 2-2 overall to open the 2022-23 season. The Tigers recorded a pair of wins over North Dakota State (91-86) and North Dakota (93-63), while their two blemishes were a 88-78 season opening loss to Stanford and a 94-91 double overtime thriller to Cal State Fullerton.
The Tigers average 88.2 points per game, which is first in the West Coast Conference and 18th nationally. Its field goal percentage is also a top three mark in the conference at a 48.7 percent.
Pacific delivers a well rounded scoring attack with six Tigers averaging above eight points a game. Leading the charge is Jordan Ivy Curry's 18.5 points per game on 53 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent from three. Donovan Williams pitches 11.5 a game while Tyler Beard follows with an average of 11.3 points. Rounding out the double figure scorers for Pacific is Luke Avdalovic's 10 points per game.

Pacific is 2-16 overall against the Vandals and meet for the first time since 2008-09.
Vandal Notables
- Junior forward Isaac Jones is one of the most efficient scorers in the country, shooting the sixth best field goal percentage mark at 78 percent. He has made 32 of 41 shots and most recently shot 85% (11-13) against Utah Tech. His shooting percentage is not only best in the conference, its over 27 percent higher than the next closest player (Northern Colorado's Dalton Knecht, 51.3%). Jones, a transfer from Wenatchee Valley College, leads the team in scoring with an average of 17.8 points and ranks second among Big Sky players.
- Jones is the leader on the glass for Idaho, averaging 7.8 boards and posting two double-digit rebound efforts this season.
- Fifth-year Guard Divant'e Moffitt is averaging the third most assists per game in the league (5.2) and totals the most assists amongst conference players at 26. Along with his great passing numbers, Moffitt is second on the team and fifth in the conference in scoring at 14.8 ppg.
- Moffitt reached double-digit assists (10) for the first time in his five-year career in a matchup against Walla Walla, becoming the first Vandal to post 10 or more assists in a single game since Mike Scott (1/17/15).
- Redshirt sophomore forward Terren Frank is the third Vandal to average double figures in scoring, as he averages 11.8 a game. He ranks second on the team in rebounds at 6.3.
- Sophomore guard Yusef Salih has been one of more consistent shooters in the backcourt, averaging 9.4 points a game on 37 percent shooting from long range on 30 shot attempts. He is leading the Big Sky Conference with 11 total made threes.
- As a team, the Vandals rank first in the conference in field goal percentage (48.9) and third in scoring defense (65.6).
- The Vandals average 13.8 assists per game, ranking third in the Big Sky Conference.
