MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho track and field program began the 2023 indoor season with the Spokane Invitational Saturday at The Podium. The meet was highlighted by six Vandals earning top-three performances across 20 events.
The day began with a solid effort from
Spencer Barrera in the men's 200-meter, where he placed third with a time of 21.65. Junior
Deyondre Davis followed with another top-three finish in the 300-meter, as he crossed the line at 35.53.
The women's side featured senior
Camryn Crouch's second-place finish in the 300. Crouch finished with a time of 39.94.
The Vandals moved to the field events where
Zachary Nunis and
Noah Culbertson put together each a top three performance. Nunis jumped his way to third place (7.05m) while Culbertson took third with a throw of 16.66m.
Senior
Tayler LyDay finished runner-up in the women's triple jump, as she cleared 12.25m.
The Vandals will take over a month off before returning to action for the Cougar Classic Invitational on Jan. 13 at The Podium in Spokane, Wash.
