MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho tips off Big Sky play with tough games against Montana State and Montana. The Bobcats are the reigning Big Sky Champions and Montana is 2-1 over the last three games, including an impressive win at South Dakota. Thursday's game against MSU is scheduled for 6 p.m. and Saturday's game against the Lady Griz will tip at 2 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+ while a radio broadcast can be heard on AM 849 KMAX or on GoVandals.com.
ABOUT IDAHO: The Vandals begin Big Sky play with a 4-7 record, but only played one home game in non-conference play. The Vandals have the Big Sky's leading scorer in
Beyonce Bea (22.3 PPG). She has seven double-doubles on the season.
Sydney Gandy has scored 15 or more points in three of the last four games and
Tiana Johnson has scored 10.2 ppg through 11 games.
ABOUT MSU: Montana State is 7-5 on the year with two losses coming at against Power Five schools. Darian White, the Big Sky Preseason MVP is averaging 11.2 points per game and Leia Beattie is scoring 11.1 points per game. MSU averages 68.1 ppg while allowing 63 ppg.
SERIES HISTORY: MSU leads the series 38-21 and won all three games a season ago.
ABOUT MONTANA: The Lady Griz are 4-7 on the year, but two losses were to Pac-12 schools and one came to Gonzaga. Four Lady Griz are scoring 10 points or more this season, led by Sammy Fatkin with 13.5 PPG. Montana averages 67 points per game while giving up 68.7.
