MIRA LOMA, Calif. – Jose Suryadinata scored an even-par 71 to move up nine spots and finish tied for eighth while leading the Vandal men's golf team to a tournament-low round of 294 to move into a tie for the fifth in the final team standings at The Joust at the Goose Creek Golf Course in Mira Loma, California.

Suryadinata birdied the par-five 17th and the par-three second to earn the even-par score on the final round of the tournament. He was consistent throughout the tournament, scoring a 72 on Monday's round one and a 74 in the blustery second round Monday evening for a three-round score of 217.

Jack Plaster finished the tournament tied for 16th with a three-round score of 219. Plaster's second round on Monday was the low round of the tournament. Tommy McKenzie scored a 222 to finish T23, his tournament was highlighted by a second-round score of 73.

Colt Sherrell finished with a three-round score of 226 for a T44 finish. He was scored 72 in his first round and a 73 in the final round but struggled with the wind in the second round when he finished with an 81.

Joel Veenstra finished with a three-round score of 247 for an 85th-place finish.

The Vandals were in seventh after the first round, sixth after the second, and improved to the T5 position for the final.

Idaho is off for a weekend before returning to action hosting the Bandon Dunes Championship on the Sheep Ranch Course at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on the Southwest Oregon coast on March 6-8.
