BOISE, Idaho – Freshman Andrea Redondo notched Idaho's lone point against Boise State on Sunday in the Boas Indoor Tennis Center. The Vandals dropped the match, 6-1, snapping a three-match win streak.

Redondo competed in the No. 4 position in singles action, where she trailed early after dropping the first set (6-4) against Boise State's Ana Conde Vendrell. Redondo evened up the score after a dominant 6-1 second-set win. She completed the comeback in the tie-breaker, taking the set 11-9. 

The Broncos jumped out to a 1-0 lead early on, earning the doubles point to start the match. BSU recorded wins at No. 1 and No. 2 to clinch the point. At No. 3, Saffron Dowse and Redondo trailed 4-3 before the match was left unfinished. 

The Broncos grabbed a 2-0 lead after Katherine Jhang fell in straight sets to Holly Stewart at No. 3 singles. Dowse dropped her match at the No. 5 spot, 6-0, 6-1, as the Broncos increased its lead to 3-0. Shauna Heffernan clinched the match for Boise State at No. 6 over Jayanne Palma.

The Vandals travel to the west coast to face Long Beach State on Thursday, Mar. 17 at 2 p.m.
