BANDON, Ore. – The Idaho men's golf team outplayed No. 9 Oregon and jumped three spots from 10th place to seventh after posting a second-round score of 298 on day two of the Bandon Dunes Invitational played on the Sheep Ranch Course at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on the Oregon coast.
Jack Plaster battled back from a rough first round to score a one-over 72 in the second round to lead the way for the Vandals. Senior
Colt Sherrell notched four birdies on the day to finish three-over. He is five-over for the weekend and tied for 18th-place.

The Vandals were 298 on the day for the fifth-best round among Monday's scores. No. 30 Oregon took the two-round lead at 583 after posting a second-round 295. Kansas is second, just one stroke back at 584, but six teams are all within five strokes of the lead.
The Vandals are in seventh and sit one stroke ahead of Seattle I and two strokes ahead of Washington State, Boston College and Army.
Plaster's strong play may have been motivated by sibling rivalry. Jack played the first two rounds with his brother Nate, a sophomore at Washington State. Jack sits tied for 55th with a two-day total of 153 while Nate is tied for 74th with a 157.
The tournament concludes tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available on
