BANDON, Ore. – The Idaho men's golf team played the strongest round of the tournament with
Colt Sherrell and
Jack Plaster posting one-under 70s to lead Idaho to a 10th-place finish with a final three-round score of 892.
Sherrell finished tied for 11th overall with a three-round score of 217 (+4) for the tournament. Plaster struggled in his first round but battled back with a 72 in the second round and a 70 in the third to finish with a 223 (+10) for the tournament.
Tommy McKenzie finished with a 226 (+13, T52),
Jose Suryadinata finished with a 229 (+16, T69) and
T.J. Patterson finished with a score of 234 (+21, T81).
Competing individually,
Joel Veenstra and
Matt McGann finished with scores of 231 (+19, T72) and 235 (+22, T83).
Oregon held on to their second-round lead and picked up the team win with a final score of 863 (+11) San Jose was the team runner-up with a 865 (+13) and ninth-ranked Kansas was third with a score of 865 (+14).
San Jose State's Caleb Shetler won medalist honors with a -4, 209. Fresno State's Matthew Sutherland tallied a course tournament play record 67 in the final round to finish tied with Utah Valley's Brady McKinley for second at 211 (-2).
