CORVALLIS, Ore. / TUCSON, Ariz. – The Idaho men's and women's track and field teams competed in two meets as they gear up for the conference championship.
The Vandals split the squad to run in two competitive meets and 18 Vandals set personal bests over the weekend.
Lorenz Herrmann won the 800 meters in Oregon with a time of 1:48.59 He is currently sitting 12
th in the NCAA West Region in the event.
Four Vandals improved their standing in the NCCA West Region at the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson.
Nathyn Maller moved up to 32
nd in the javelin with a throw of 64.37 meters.
Grady Leonard moved up to 20
th in the shot put with a throw of 18.61 meters.
Joseph Ruddell improved to 23
rd in the high jump with a jump of 2.13 meters and Zach Nunis moved up to 17
th in the long jump with a mark of 7.66 meters.

The Vandals will take the week off before competing in the Big Sky Conference Championship meet on May 11-14 in Pocatello, Idaho.
