MOSCOW, Idaho– Former Idaho women's basketball player
Allison Kirby has signed her first professional contract to play for Falcons Bad Homburger TG of the Bundesliga in Germany.
The Bundesliga is the second-highest women's basketball league in Germany.
Kirby played five seasons for the Vandals from 2017-22, totaling 133 games. She recorded 583 points, 569 rebounds, 339 assists, and 96 steals. She has the second-best career free-throw percentage (88.7) in Vandal history.
"I am so happy that Allison has achieved her goal of playing professional basketball," head coach
Jon Newlee said. "Allison is one of the most mentally tough players I have ever coached. She overcame injuries, ups and downs, yet continued to persevere through it all. There is absolutely no quit in her, she doesn't know what that word means. She is a great example of someone working and working to achieve her dreams. She will make the entire Vandal Nation proud as she represents us overseas!"
Off the court, she graduated with a degree in exercise science and health and was a five-time academic all-conference selection for the Vandals.
