MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho Vandal soccer head coach
Jeremy Clevenger announced the signing of five transfers to the 2022 squad, including three transfers from West Coast Conference schools, one from the American Conference school and a DII First-Team All-Region player.
"I am very excited about this transfer class," Clevenger said. "This is a very talented group of players. I think they will have a positive impact on our program and make us a better team. We look forward to them contributing right away."
Jayd Sprague transfers from the University of San Francisco. She has played in 21 games for the Dons and started in 17. She is originally from Laguna Beach, Calif., where she attended Laguna Beach HS.
Kylie Hummel comes to Moscow from St. Mary's (Calif.). She played in three games for the Gaels. She is originally from Danville, Calif., she prepped at Monte Vista High School. In 2017, she was invited to the US Girls National Team Soccer Camp.
Annika Farley comes to Idaho with four years of eligibility remaining after playing in the spring of 2021 for the University of Portland. She played in nine games, including three starts. She is originally from Ridgefield, Wash., and is a childhood friend of Vandal volleyball player Delaney Nicoll.
Kyla Tucker transferred from Temple University where she played in 13 games, including one start. She is from Bayfield, Colo., and is played her high school soccer at Centaurus HS.
Makenzie Burks hails from Tacoma, Wash., and transfers from Western Washington where she earned First-Team All-West Region honors and was a unanimous First-Team All-GNAC player. She has 55 career games under her belt and has started 47. She comes to Moscow as a junior with two years of eligibility remaining.
Idaho begins practice in late July and opens the season with an exhibition match against the University of Calgary on Aug. 8 at the Kibbie Dome.
