MOSCOW, Idaho - The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program is excited to announce the addition of Katja Davidowske to the Vandal family! Katja joins the Vandals
from Bavaria, Germany and will bring an immediate impact.
Katja primarily competes in the multi-events and has a personal record of 4,759 point total in the heptathlon which includes the 100 meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200 meters, long jump, javelin, and the 800 meters. Along with success in the multi-events, Katja has found success in individual events. Her top event individually is the high jump, an event she has a personal best jump of 1.69 meters (5'6.5") which she set during the 2021 season.
Katja has a bevy of international success that she will bring to the track program. She is a two-time Bavarian Multi State Champion (2018, 2020), and many more medals at the Bavarian State Championships between 2017 and 2022 in various disciplines. Katja has also competed three times at the German National Championships.
"Katja is a well-rounded heptathlete who will also help the team in the high jump," Director of Track and Field
Tim Cawley said. "She will also add to the Vandal family with her classroom work and we are so happy to have join the team."
