Vandal Track and Field Adds Local Thrower

MOSCOW, Idaho - The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program is thrilled to announce the signing Arthur "Reid" Thomas to the Vandal family!

Reid, from Orofino, burst onto the Idaho throws scene as a junior in 2021 after having his freshmen and sophomore seasons shortened due to COVID-19. His season culminated at the Idaho State 2A Championship where he would go on to win both the shot put and discus throws. For these accomplishments he was named the North Idaho Track & Field Player of the Year, and was named the Most Athletic Male at Orofino High School.

In his senior season, Reid hit new all-time best marks. At the Idaho State 2A Championships he threw a new personal best in the shot put and discus throws.
