Track and Field Adds Kelsey Betthauser to Coaching Staff

MOSCOW, Idaho - The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program recently hired Kelsey Betthauser as an assistant coach specializing in the throwing events.

Coach Bethauser joins the Vandals after spending the past three seasons at Southern Arkansas University as an assistant coach. A standout thrower ar the University of Dubuque, Coach Betthauser brings experiences from across the country, beginning as an intern at EXOS in San Diego before moving on to the MERGE Performance Institute. She began her collegiate coaching career the McKendree University in 2019 before joining the staff at Southern Arkansas. During her three seasons, the throws group experienced tremendous success under her guidance. The 2022 season saw three GAC Conference champions, seven out of seven men scoring at the conference meet, and a program record in the men's javelin.

Originally from Ellsworth, Wisconsin Coach Betthauser graduated from the University of Dubuque in Iowa in 2019 with a double major in wellness and exercise science, and in psychology. She went on to attain a master's degree in kinesiology from Southern Arkansas University.
