Idaho Men's Golf Grabs Academic Awards

MOSCOW, Idaho – Three Vandals were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf NCAA Division I All-American Scholars and Idaho Men's Golf earned 2021-22 Outstanding Team Academic Award Honors. The awards were presented by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
Jack Plaster, Colt Sherrell and Jose Suryadinata all earned All-American Scholar honors. To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
 
Suryadinata finished tied for second at the Big Sky Conference Championship and had four top-25 finishes last season.
 
Sherrell had three top-25 finishes this season and wrapped up the year 8th at the Big Sky Conference Championship.
 
Plaster wrapped up the year with one top-25 finish with a 16th-place finish in the Joust at Goose Creek.
 
To earn the team award, the Vandals must carry a 3.0 team GPA or higher.
