MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho volleyball (3-10, 0-1 BSC) battled Sacramento State to four sets in the Big Sky opener Thursday night on ICCU Court at Memorial Gym, but ultimately fell, 25-18, 23-25, 14-25, 21-25.
Freshman
Olivia Gloeckner recorded an all-around performance for the Vandals in her home debut, posting 12 kills, seven digs, three service aces and four blocks. Gloeckner has posted double-digit kills in three consecutive matches. Teammates

Taryn Vrieling followed with 11 and 10 kills, respectively.
Redshirt junior
Travel Morris added five kills on .500 attacking. She also delivered defensively with a team-high five blocks. Freshman setter
Kate Doorn had 34 assists, her third straight match of at least 34-plus assists.

Aine Doty tied her season-high in digs with 16, marking her 10th double-digit effort this season.
For the Hornets, two players recorded double-digit kills, with Caitlin Volkmann leading the pack with 19.
