McCrea Promoted, Rolli Added to Vandal Athletics Staff

MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho Vandal Athletics today announced the promotion of Colton McCrea to Director of Athletic Communications and hire of Jordyn Rolli as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.

McCrea joined Vandal Athletics in the fall of 2021 and has distinguished himself with strong work and leadership in his role as Assistant Director of Communications. He helped oversee increased engagement in all Vandal athletics social media channels and improved traffic on GoVandals.com.

McCrea was an important part of the communications team for the 2022 NCAA Women's Regional which was hosted by the University of Idaho. He has also shown leadership in improving Idaho's intern and student employee pool.

"From the time Colton stepped foot on campus, he has made us better," Assistant AD Jerek Wolcott said. "He has been an important part of our improvement across the board. His work ethic, keen eye for trends and attention to detail have been vital on our improvement as a department. I look forward to seeing him expand his leadership in this new role to help us continue to elevate Vandal Athletics."

Rolli joins the Integrated Strategic Communications and Marketing staff from Florida State where she completed her master's degree and worked as a graduate assistant for the Seminoles. She was the sport contact for the 2022 NCAA Championship Runner-up beach volleyball team and assisted with other sports, including the 2021 NCAA College Cup Champion Women's Soccer team.

She was a Missouri Valley Conference All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honoree while playing soccer at the University of Northern Iowa. She also interned with the UNI Athletic Communications office as an undergrad.

"Jordyn brings a unique skill set with strong experience both in athletic communications and as a former student-athlete," Wolcott said. "We are excited for her to share her perspective with our team and to bring the same attitude and energy she brought on the field as a player to her position in our department."

Rolli will work with Vandal women's basketball, soccer, track and field and cross country to enhance their communication efforts. She will also assist with football communications.
