Vandal Women Travel to Sacramento State, Portland State

MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho goes on the road for their first away weekend of Big Sky competition. Sacramento State and Portland State have only played each other thus far, with Sacramento State earning the win. Sacramento State has a 10-2 record on the season while Portland State is 5-6. Thursday's game against the Hornets will tip at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+. Sunday's game against the Vikings will tip at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+. Both games will be available via a radio broadcast and can be heard on AM 849 KMAX or on GoVandals.com

ABOUT IDAHO: The Vandals opened Big Sky play with a 2-0 record, defeating both Montana State and Montana at home. The Vandals have the Big Sky's leading scorer in Beyonce Bea (22.8 PPG). She has seven double-doubles on the season. Sydney Gandy has scored 15 or more points in six of the last eight games and Tiana Johnson has scored 10 ppg through 13 games. The Vandals opened Big Sky play with a dominant 72-53 win over Big Sky Tournament Champion Montana State behind 20 points from Bea and 15 from Gandy. Idaho capped off the weekend with a 79-71 win over Montana led by 32 points, five blocks, and nine rebounds from Bea. Gandy led with eight assists as well as 17 points. Rosa Smith was also in the double digits with 12 points.

ABOUT SACRAMENTO STATE: The Hornets are 10-2 on the year, with the two losses to UC Irvine and San Diego State. The Hornets are averaging 65.3 PPG, led by Kahlaijah Dean with 18.8 PPG. The Hornets have shot 45.7% from the field this season, averaging 23.3% per game.

ABOUT PORTLAND STATE: The Vikings are 5-6 on the year with their solo conference loss to Sacramento State 55-65. The Vikings are averaging 63.4 PPG, led by Esmeralda Morales with 15.3 PPG. The Vikings have shot 40.2% from the field this season, averaging 22.1% per game.

SERIES HISTORY: Idaho leads the series against Sacramento State 16-5 and won the last meeting 73-68 in Moscow. Idaho also leads the series against Portland State 32
