MOSCOW, Idaho - Vandal Cross Country closes the regular season in Lewiston, Idaho at the LC State Invitational hosted by Lewis-Clark State College this Saturday, Oct. 14th.
The women's 5K kicks off at 9:30 a.m. and the men's 8K at 10:30 at the LC State Cross Country Trail.
The Vandal men most recently took fourth at the Bill Dellinger Invite in Springfield, Oregon on Sept. 22nd. Idaho senior
Lorenz Herrmann placed 13th in his first race of the 2023 season at a 24:10.2 mark.
Sam Fulbright also helped the Vandals at 31st and scored himself another 8000-meter personal best finishing at 24:26.3.
Shea Mattson took 36th (24:29.0) and
Tim Stevens came in 49th (24:45.3).
The Idaho women earned 10th at the Bill Dellinger Invite behind a 10th place finish from junior
Katja Pattis who completed the 6K at 20:32.9, five seconds shy of her personal best. Senior
Leah Holmgren took 47th at 21:24.2 and freshman
McKenna Kozeluh in 72nd place (21:54.7).
The Vandals begin the postseason Friday, Oct. 27th at the 2023 Big Sky Championships in Missoula, Montana hosted by the Montana Grizzlies.
