FARMINGTON, Utah – Anthony Woods and
Jermaine Jackson both shined in No. 3 Idaho's 44-36 road win over Eastern Washington, Saturday. For their efforts, the duo was named the Big Sky Conference Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
Woods had an outstanding day, rushing for 211 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Vandal rushing attack that racked up 363 yards rushing. Woods averaged an outstanding 9.2 yards per carry, including an outstanding 60-yard touchdown run.
Woods passed the 200-yard mark for the first time of his career, but now leads the Big Sky Conference in rushing yards and touchdowns five games into the season. He has gone over the 100-yard rushing mark three times this season and has scored a touchdown in all but one game. He is averaging 6.7 yards per carry. He is tied for all of Division I for single-game high for touchdowns this season.
He was also named the NCAA Digital FCS National Player of the Week.
Jackson had an outstanding day, recording 225 all-purpose yards. He had a career-high 151 kick return yards, including a season-long 84-yard kick return that set up a seven-yard Woods touchdown. The return and the score sparked a 23-0 Vandal run that put the game out of reach for EWU.

The Vandals have won three of the last four Special Teams Player of the Week honors with

Hayden Hatten earned the honor on Sept. 4.
Idaho is again on the road Saturday at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
