MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho Track has announced its next signee for the 2024 class, Pia Kircher, a middle-distance athlete from Gebersheim, Germany.

Kircher is a two-time German Junior National Champion winning the 10km road race with her team, KSG in 2022 and 2023. Kircher was also a member of the 2023 Baden Württemberg Indoor State Championship squad that took first in the 3x800m relay. 

Individually, she took sixth last spring at the German U20 Championships in the 5000m with a time of 17:39.43. This summer Kircher finished 12th at the German Athletics Championships in the 3000m (10:10.42). 

"The University of Idaho is an outstanding institution. Not only does it offer excellent athletic conditions for runners, but the Department of Art offers me a brilliant academic career opportunity" said Kircher of Idaho.

Kircher plans to study Interaction/Graphic Design at the University of Idaho.
