Vandals Sign 28 in Early Signing Period

MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho football signed 28 athletes to national letters of intent, Wednesday, on the first day of the early signing period. The group included five athletes from the state of Idaho and a combined 19 from Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

The Vandals continued to solidify the offensive line with six offensive line recruits, highlighted by three-star tackle Nathan Knapik, brother of honorable mention All-Big Sky honoree Ayden Knapik. Other key position groups for Idaho were the tight end group where the Vandals signed four and the receiver room where Idaho added five signees.

On the defensive side of the ball, Idaho added three edge rushers and three safeties out of nine total defensive players.

Idaho went far afield for a few of the signees, including Hawaiian defensive tackle Titus Ringor, Alaskan offensive tackle Sone Falealo and Canadian tight end, Everson Harker.

Idaho continued the family connections that have become so familiar for Vandal fans. Along with Knapik joining his brother in Moscow, Holden Bea, brother of Idaho women's basketball player Skyler and former Vandal Beyonce Bea will play quarterback for Idaho. Twins Wiley (edge) and Gus Donnerberg (tight end) both signed, Wednesday, to continue the Vandal twin tradition.

Seventeen of the 28 players signed Wednesday attended Idaho football camps.

The Vandals will continue to recruit with the opportunity to close out the class on the late signing day on February 7. Idaho could potentially add junior college or four-year transfers in the coming weeks.

Idaho is coming off its first nine-win season since 2016 and the first FCS quarterfinal appearance since 1993.
