POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho men's basketball team fell on the road to Idaho State, 65-55 on Thursday night at Reed Gym.
Fifth-year guard
Divant'e Moffitt posted a game-high 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field. The scoring effort by Moffitt helped eclipse 2,000 career points for the Spanaway, Washington native, as he has now totaled 543 points in a Vandal uniform and 1,460 points at Seattle Pacific University.
Freshman
Nigel Burris added his 13th double-figure scoring performance of the season, posting 13 points on 5-of-7 from the field and a perfect 3-of-3 mark from three.
The Vandals led by as many as five points in the opening five minutes of action, racing out to a 15-10 lead. The Bengals went on an 8-3 run to tie the score at 18-18. From there, three ties and four lead changes transpired before

Isaac Jones on a backdoor lob to even the score at 32-32. Idaho went scoreless the rest of the way as the Bengals held a 38-32 lead at the half.
Moffitt scored 15 of his 23 points to lead Idaho in the opening 20 minutes.
A 6-0 run by the Bengals started the second half, as Idaho State held a 12-point advantage (44-32). The Vandals would cut it down to a six-point deficit at the 14:06 (40-46) mark and 11:21 (46-52) mark, but ISU used an 11-2 run to help put away Idaho and secure a 65-55 win.
Idaho State shot 49 percent (25-of-51) from the field and 92 percent (11-12) from the foul line. Four Bengals reached double figures in the win, including a team-high 17 points from Brayden Parker. ISU controlled the game on the glass, out-rebounding the Vandals 35 to 23.
Idaho falls to 10-19 overall (4-12 BSC) on the season while Idaho State moves to 10-19 (7-9 BSC).
