MOSCOW, Idaho – Vandal men's golf opens the spring season Sunday at the Loyola Intercollegiate at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.
 
Idaho comes off a successful fall that saw the Vandals earn a tournament win at the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitation in Illinois, and strong showings at Oregon State and Visit Stockton Pacific Invite.
 
Idaho also added Grand Canyon University transfer Johannes Hounsgaard at the semester.
 
The tournament field includes teams from all four time zones in the US with teams from the A10, Big East, Big Sky, CAA, Patriot League, Missouri Valley, Sun Belt, Summit League and WAC.
 
Fifty-sixth-ranked Marquette and 89th-ranked Wright State highlight the solid field. Northern Colorado is the lone other Big Sky school in the tournament.
 
The course sits at 7,015 yards and is a par 72. The teams will begin with a shotgun start at 6:45 a.m. pacific time. The teams will play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
