GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Vicky Tsai played bogey-free gold in the final round to finish three-under 69 to help Idaho close out a second-place team finish at the Bobcat Spring invite.
Tsai notched three birdies in the round to record her best finish of the season and lead an outstanding performance in the final tournament before the Big Sky Championship next week at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Tsai went under-par for two of her three rounds and finished with a three-round score of 215.
Baipor Khunsri and
Yvonne Vinceri also finished in the top 10. Khunsri was one-over for the day and five-over for the tournament at 221 to finish tied for sixth. Vinceri was two-over for the day and six over for the day to finish tied for 10th at 222.
Boram Jung had a strong day, shooting even-par 72 on the day to move up 10 spots in the field and finish with a score of 225.
Kyndall Newman finished with a three-round score of 232 and finish tied for 33rd.
Jenna Bruggeman, playing as an individual, finished tied for 39th with a score of 234.
The Vandals finished second overall with a score of 880, first among the eight Big Sky teams in the field, beating third-place Weber State by 11 strokes and fourth-place NAU by 16 strokes.
