MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho women's golf begins play at the Big Sky Championship Monday at the Talking Stick O'odham Course in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Vandals are coming off the best performance of the season, a second-place finish at the Bobcat Spring invite that saw Idaho finish ahead of seven Big Sky Schools in the field.
Vicky Tsai took runner-up honors in the individual results.
Sacramento State is ranked 58th in the nation, well-ahead of the rest of the league, but Northern Arizona, Weber State and Idaho are all in the same range in the mid-100s.
Tsai leads the way for the Vandals. Baipor Khunsri,
Yvonne Vinceri,
Boram Jung and
Kyndall Newman round out the lineup for Idaho. Vinceri and Newman both earned Big Sky Golfer of the Week honors this season.
The course is a links style course in the valley west of Phoenix. It is a par-72 and sits at 6,247 yards for the tournament.
The Vandals are scheduled to tee off in the first group with Weber State, beginning at 7 a.m.
