SPOKANE, Wash. – Idaho fell to Gonzaga in four and lost to Air Force in straight sets on the final day of the Gonzaga Tournament on Saturday.
Gonzaga 3, Idaho 1
Idaho dropped the opening match to Gonzaga, 19-25, 25-23, 14-25, 20-25.
Renata Lopez Morales anchored the Vandal defense in the matchup, posting a double-double with a career-high 11 blocks and 11 digs.
Taylor Brickey led on offense with eight kills and a .333 clip, while
Lacy Cox posted a team-high of 18 assists.
Air Force 3, Idaho 0
The Vandals fell in three sets to Air Force, 25-27, 21-25, 7-25, to wrap up the final day of the Gonzaga Tournament. Brickey was the Vandals' leader on the attack for the second consecutive match, posting seven kills.
Natalia Wielgus posted a team-high 13 assists.
The Vandals travel to Edwardsville, Illinois next weekend to compete at the Cougar Classic for three matches against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, SIUE and Western Illinois.
