PORTLAND – The Idaho women's golf team finished tied for fifth at the Portland State Invitational and
Kaylin Johnson picked up her second Top-10 finish of the fall. The tournament wrapped up Tuesday at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland.
Johnson finished nine-over for the tournament at the LPGA course, good enough for a T9th-place finish to lead the way for the Vandals.
Emma Heyman closed the tournament 12-over for the weekend to finish T18th.
Zoe Newell finished 27th at 15-over for the tournament and
Jenna Bruggeman finished 34th at 17-over.
Idaho's No. 1 starter
Emma Kang, who was coming off her first career individual title at the Tri-State Invitation was forced to withdraw with an illness.
Playing as individuals, Laura Caamaño finished 15-over and tied for 27th.
Boram Jung finished 44th at 23-over and
Sofia Lippiello finished 63rd at 49-over.
The tournament was the final of the fall for the Vandals who now step back from competition until February.
