MOSCOW, Idaho -- The Vandal volleyball team (1-12) is set to host Eastern Washington (4-8) as part of Homecoming week on Friday, Oct. 4. The match get underway at 6 p.m. PT in Memorial Gym and will be live-streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT IDAHO
	- The Vandals opened Big Sky play last week, falling to both Portland State (1-3) and Weber State (0-3). The team was able to take a set from Portland State with a 25-21 third set victory to stay alive, but the Vikings closed the deal. Attackers Madu Fontes and Chiara Gennari led offensively with 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Fontes also found success on the defensive end, recording her second double-double of the year with 13 digs. Zuzanna Wieczorek tallied a team-best four blocks while Ceren Cert supplied three more. 
- Overall, Natalia Wieglus leads the Vandal offense with 216 assists, breaking double digits in 10 different matches. She averages 5.84 per set to rank eighth amongst Big Sky players. Wieczorek reached the century mark in kills last week, totaling a team-best 104 kills this season and 10 or more in three matches.
- First-year libero Ada Isik leads the team in the back row with 94 digs while blocker Emma Patterson currently has the most blocks on the team with 33 in 12 matches. 
SCOUTING EASTERN WASHINGTON
	- Eastern Washington enters Friday's match holding a 0-2 conference record and 4-8 overall mark. The team has not seen a victory in any of their last six matches.
- The Eagles are led offensively by Kalista Lukovich who has recorded 146 kills. Graduate student Kate Hatch has also aided the team with 230 assists. 
- Defensively, Makenna Collins owns the most digs with 173 while Bri Gunderson holds a team best 66 blocks.
- The Vandals hold a 54-38 overall record. The Silver and Gold have not come out on top since 2021.
