INDIANAPOLIS – Idaho was picked seventh out by NCAA FCS Football Selection Committee in their lone in-season rankings, released during College Football Live Wednesday.
Idaho is 6-3 on the season with wins over three then ranked teams and FBS Wyoming. Idaho's losses came to teams who are a combined 23-1, all of them coming on the road and the two FCS losses coming without starting quarterback
Jack Layne who returned to action last week against Eastern Washington.
The Vandals are seventh in the in-season ranking for the second season in a row. A year ago, Idaho earned the fourth-seed in the FCS Championship Playoffs.
Idaho is in its bye week and begins the final stretch of the season at Portland State next weekend before hosting Weber State on Nov. 16. Tickets are still available at govandals.com/tickets.
