MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho cross country is set for the 2024 Big Sky Cross Country Championships on Friday, November 1 in Pocatello, Idaho.
The championship races will be held at Riverside Golf Course, with the 8K men's race firing off at 10 a.m. PT and the women's 5K contest scheduled to start at 11 a.m. PT. Fans can follow the race live on

Last time out at the LC State Invitational, Idaho's men's team took third ahead of Big Sky rivals Idaho State and Montana. The Vandals were led by graduate student
Sam Fulbright, who finished fifth overall (24:11). Two more Vandals cracked the top 25, with junior
Miles Ferguson crossing the line in 17th place (24:46), and graduate
Shea Mattson right behind in 21st (24:52).
On the women's side, Idaho finished second as a team, placing three runners in the top ten positions. Grad student
Maya Kobylanski placed fifth (17:13) in her second race of the season, while
Leah Holmgren raced to an eighth-placed finish (17:24) and freshman
Jesse Redding finished two seconds behind in ninth (17:26).
HISTORY
At the 2023 Big Sky Championships in Missoula, Idaho's men's team finished fourth with Fulbright leading the way in 21st (25:02.20).
Lorenz Herrmann finished less than a second back in 22nd (25:02.80) and Mattson tied his best conference meet finish in 24th (25:05.2).
The Vandal women also took home fourth. Four returning Vandals finished in the top 30, led by
Abigail Thomas in 25th (18:19.30), Holmgren in 26th (18:21.10),
Constanze Paoli in 28th (18:25.2), and
McKenna Kozeluh in 30th (18:26.9).

Following the Big Sky Championship, Idaho will head to the 2024 NCAA West Regional on November 15 in Colfax, Wash. at the Colfax Golf Club.
