Vandal Men's Golf Signs Three

MOSCOW, IDAHO – Idaho men's golf head coach David Nuhn announced the signing of three players as part of the 2025 men's golf recruiting class.

The class includes Ben Buchanan from Lymm, England, Henrik Koglin from Berlin, Germany, and Aaron Mohun from Chester, England.  The trio brings a lot of high-level golf to the table for the Vandals, including national and international competition in Europe.

"I am fired up for this 2025 class of players," Nuhn said. "Each one has shown the ability to compete at a national level in their home country. Each one proven capable of shooting low scores and finishing tournaments strong."

Buchanan was selected to the North West England U18 Regional Squad and placed 26th at the English u18  Mixed Championship. He was a regular on the Cheshire Boys U16 and U18 squads. Earning a fourth-place finish at the 2024 Cheshire Boys Championship. His home club is the Crewe Golf Club. He also has a strong relationship with some of the current Vandals from England.

"Ben was our first commitment of this class," Nuhn said. "He was promoted by the same person in England that worked with Joe Sykes, Sam Johnson, Josh McCartain, and Charley Simpson. This recruiter's eye for talent is proven."

Koglin has high-level tournament experience, taking third place at the 202 Q-School Pro Golf Tour, earning full 2025 status. He finished first at the 2024 GHG Tour Bad Saeeow Junior Trophy. He has played in tournaments in Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Poland and Germany.

Mohun has three wins in WAGR ranked events, including the St. Andrews Boy's Open, played on the Old Course as St. Andrews, the home of golf. Like Buchanan, he also played on North West England Regional Squad and the Cheshire County Boys U18 Squad.

"Henrik and Aaron were provided by a second European recruitment company, they are equally as talented and have worked with several successful golfers that they have helped make it over to college golf in the states," Nuhn said. "All three of these players look ready to come in and compete for our program day one. They all hit the ball exceptionally well. They are well coached at home and have the mentality for the development model we have at Idaho. I'm looking forward to welcoming these three standouts to our program and the Vandal family next August. I think their impact will be felt quickly in many positive ways."

The Vandals are off for the winter improvement season and return to action on Feb. 16 at the Mesquite Desert Classic.
