LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Two Vandals sit in the top-five and Idaho sits second overall at the Bowling Green State Women's Intercollegiate at Wigwam Golf Club in the Phoenix area.
Freshmen
Zoe Newell sits in a tie for second place at three-over after two rounds. She carded an even-par 71 and a three-over 74 and sits one-back at the challenging course in Arizona. Freshman
Emma Kang sits alone in fifth and is five-over after two rounds, finishing round-one at two over before carding a three-over 74.
Jenna Bruggeman responded after a 77 in round one with a 73 in round two 11 spots on the leaderboard to a tie for 11th, just one stroke back from the top-10.
Yvonne Vinceri is 15-over after two rounds and sits in a tie for 29th and
Boram Jung is tied for 55th.
Emma Heyman, golfing as an individual, sits in a tie for 25th at 13-over after two rounds.
As a team, the Vandals sit in second place, six strokes back from Grand Canyon and six strokes ahead of third-place Ball State. Idaho finished round one in third place, but put up a second-round 297 to cut into Grand Canyon's lead and climb to second place.
The Vandals close out the tournament Wednesday with one round. The final round tees off at 7 a.m. with a live leaderboard available via
