PHOENIX – The Idaho Vandal men's golf team finished 19th at the Loyola Intercollegiate at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Phoenix. Samuel Johnson finished one-under for the tournament to lead the way for the Vandals.
 
Johnson finished in a tie for 42nd place while Joe Sykes finished two-over to tie for 57th in the field. Dalton Dean was one-under in his final two rounds to finish four-over for the tournament, good enough for a tie for 69th-place.
 
Johannes Hounsgaard was six-over for the tournament to finish in a tie for 80th place. Matt McGann finished 15-over for the tournament to tie for 110th place.
 
The tournament is just the first of the spring for the Vandals, but next Idaho hosts the annual Bandon Dunes Championship on the Pacific Dunes Course on March 10-12 in Bandon, Oregon.
