2024 Bandon Dunes Championship Canceled Due to Weather

BANDON, Ore. – The 2024 Bandon Dunes Championship has been canceled due to adverse weather and course conditions.

The first day of the tournament was canceled, but the hope was to play a 36-hole event on Monday and Tuesday.

After four hours of play in round one on Monday, play was suspended with heavy rain and wind. The tournament competition committee did not see an opportunity to finish the tournament due to the forecast for Monday and Tuesday.

"I am disappointed that the weather didn't cooperate with us this year," Idaho head coach David Nuhn said. "While we never like to cancel an event, we hope that every student-athlete from around the country who came to play this week had a great experience playing at the best golf resort in the world."

The cancelation is the first in tournament history, the tournament was played as a 36-hole event in 2010, 2015 and 2023.

Idaho is back in action at the Torrey Pines Invitational in Southern California on March 24-26.
