SAN DIEGO – The Idaho Vandal men's golf team takes the North Course at the legendary Torrey Pines in Southern California for UC San Diego Invitational Sunday through Tuesday.
 
The tournament will be the second of the spring for the Vandals after their last tournament was canceled due to weather and Idaho looks to show improvement after a long break.
 
Sam Johnson leads the Vandals at the No. 1 spot, followed by Matt McGann in the second spot. Joe Sykes will golf in the third spot, followed by Johannes Hounsgaard at No. 4. TJ Patterson will compete out of the fifth and final spot.
 
The Torrey North Course plays at 7,258 yards and is a par 72 course. Seventeen teams will compete in the tournament, including teams from the WAC, Mountain West, Big West, Summit League and more.
 
The teams tee off at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon for round one. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.
