The first 45' concluded in a stalemate as both teams struggled to have quality chances on goal. Idaho ripped off five shots on goal, but all from 25 or more yards out. The Vandals' best chance came from a free kick shot by
Hannah Alfaro-Black that was rocketed to the upper left corner, but the Wolfpack's keeper made a diving save. In the final minutes of the half, Nevada had their best chance when
Paula Flores came out of her six-yard box to make a save resulting in some chaos in the box before

th minute scoring the game winning goal from over 20 yards out.

Annika Farley at the back post. The Nevada defender intercepted the cross and headed the cross back to Yoshida-Williams at the top of the box. Yoshida-Williams took a touch to the right, beating the Wolfpack defender charging at her and wound up for the shot, placing it to the left of the keeper.
