MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho women's golf team opens the season at Weber State's Kelsey Chugg Invitational at the Wolf Creek Resort Golf Course in Eden, Utah.
The Vandals will start four returning players in the first event of the year in a field that includes most of the Big Sky Conference teams along with teams from the Big West, Big East and WAC.
Emma Heyman starts the season at the No. 1 spot for Idaho. Senior
Jenna Bruggeman will golf at the No. 2 spot,
Emma Kang is the No. 3 golfer while
Zoe Newell plays from the fifth spot.
The lone newcomer in the lineup is junior college transfer
Kaylin Johnson who will play at No. 4.
The teams are expected to play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. P.T. on both days. The course will play at 6,097 yards and will be a Par 72.
