MOSCOW, Idaho– The Idaho women's soccer team received its seventh total draw of the season while on the road at Portland State, 1-1.
The Vandals versus Viking matchup started with immediate buzz. In just under three minutes into the event, Idaho drew a corner kick to be taken by
Hallie Prinos-Grumbach, planting high for
Sara Rodgers to get the shot off into the top right corner.
The Black and Gold's offense and defense continued to move the ball, but found themselves tacking on penalties along the way. For the remainder of the first half, each team was grid-locked inside the box.
As the teams moved into the second half, Idaho collected an early penalty to present the Vikings with a penalty kick. The Portland State forward lined up and planted the ball to the bottom right side of the net to tie up the match. Both teams fought hard until the 90 minutes concluded, but neither team was successful in claiming the win.
UP NEXT
Idaho will look to close out the regular season this weekend from Moscow, starting Friday, October 24th at 6:00 p.m. against Northern Colorado, and wrapping up Sunday, October 26th at 12:00 p.m. against Northern Arizona University.
