FARMINGTON, Utah – The Big Sky Conference Preseason All-Conference teams were announced on Thursday morning. Hope Hassmann of the Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball was one of the six players in the conference to receive the honor. 

After transferring to Idaho from Cal State – Fullerton last season, Hassmann made an immediate impact for the Vandals, scoring 23 points against BYU in November of last season. Her scoring prowess continued throughout her sophomore season, as she averaged 12.3 points per game for the season, ranking in the top ten in the Big Sky. 

An all-around threat, Hassmann quickly became one of the best distributors in the conference. The talented combo guard dished out 3.5 assists per game, giving her the seventh-highest average in the conference. She was one of five players – along with Olivia Nelson of last year's Idaho squad – to rank in the top ten in the conference in both points and assists per game. She received all-conference honorable mention honors at the end of last season.
