MOSCOW, Idaho – Making their sixth consecutive appearance in the Big Sky Championship, the Idaho Vandals will open tournament play against Portland State on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m. PT.
ABOUT IDAHO
The Vandals enter postseason play after finishing fifth in the Big Sky standings with a 5-5-8 overall record and a 2-2-4 conference mark. Idaho's has displayed defensive consistency this season, recording eight shutouts, all with
Paula Flores in the goal. Offensively,
Sara Rodgers leads the team with five goals, while
Annika Farley follows closely behind with four.
Tori Peters plays a large role in these goals, supporting with five assist.
PORTLAND STATE
The Vikings enter Wednesday's match with a 4-8-4 overall record, including a 3-3-2 mark in Big Sky play. Those results placed Portland State fourth in the conference heading into the tournament.
SERIES HISTORY
The Vandals hold a large all-time edge over the Vikings, with a 13-6-1 record. Earlier this season the teams met in Oregon, playing to a 1-1 draw.
