MOSCOW, Idaho – For the second straight year, Idaho men's track and field was picked fourth in the Big Sky Conference Indoor Track and Field Coaches Poll, as the women's team was slated to finish sixth. 

The men's team returns several key pieces from a team that finished fifth at last season's Big Sky indoor meet. 2025 Big Sky Indoor Freshman of the Year Jesuye Doherty will begin his second season in Moscow after taking home the 2025 indoor long jump title and being named a member of the All-Conference team following his performance in the event at the conference outdoor meet in June. 

Fellow jumper Shawn Twumasi Ampofo also claimed a conference indoor title last spring, with Ampofo earning the triple jump title with the third longest jump in Vandal history. Idaho added two NCAA West Regional qualifiers to their throws team during the offseason, with Evan Berg and Blake Sturgis both joining the Vandals from Washington State.

On the women's side, Idaho looks to improve on a sixth place finish at the 2025 conference indoor meet, with key additions including Sydnie Zywina, a 2025 NAIA All-American triple jumper at Lewis-Clark State, Jada Miller, a member of Adams State's national championship winning DMR team, and 11-time Idaho high school champion Lexi Huettig. 

Three members of Idaho's school record-setting 4x400m relay team from a third place finish at the 2025 Big Sky indoor meet return, with Blossom Omogor headlining the trio. The junior from Nigeria qualified for the finals of the 60m dash at last year's conference meet and capped her sophomore season with by finishing fourth in the 400 at the 2025 Big Sky Outdoor Championships. 

The Vandals will begin their indoor campaign at the Spokane Showcase on January 16, before opening a two-meet home slate with the Lauren McCluskey Memorial at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome on January 23 and 24.
