OGDEN, Utah – The Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball team (18-10, 10-7) closes its final road trip of the season with a 73-58 win over the Weber State Wildcats (12-15, 9-8).

Rosie Schweizer got the Vandals on the board just 41 seconds into the game and the Vandals never looked back in their wire-to-wire win. By the end of the first quarter, the Vandals held an eight-point edge over the 'Cats.

Outside shooting was a crux of the Vandal offense in the second quarter as the silver and gold made four of its nine three-point shots in the period, anchoring the team's 22-point effort as the Vandals carried a 42-27 lead into the locker rooms.

In the third period the Vandals welcomed the opposing crowd to the Hope Hassmann show. The sophomore guard scored nine of her game-high 21 points in the third and tacked on two assists to her contest-leading seven assists.

It was on a Hassmann layup in the fourth, and again on one of her three pointers in the final quarter, that the Vandal lead ballooned to 27 points in what was a dominating effort for Idaho. In the end, the Vandals cruised to a 15-point victory to seal the season sweep over Weber State and clinch the third seed in next week's Big Sky Conference tournament.
