GAME NOTES (PDF)

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball team (18-10, 10-7) plays its regular season finale at home against the Montana State Bobcats (26-3, 16-1).

The game tips off at 6:00 p.m. pacific time and can be seen on ESPN+. It can also be heard on the Vandal Athletic Network with Doug Taylor on the call. This is the 65th overall meeting between the two teams, the last meeting coming down to the wire with the Bobcats narrowly edging the Vandals by a score of 59-56 back in January.

The Vandals will also be celebrating senior night prior to Monday's contest. Idaho will be commemorating the careers of seniors Jennifer Aadland, Vitoria Carvalho, Olivia Nelson, Rosie Schweizer, and Ashlyn Wallace.

The Vandals are led by head coach Arthur Moreira who is the first Brazilian head coach in division one history. In Idaho's dominant win against Weber State on Saturday, Moreira broke legendary head coach Tara Vanderveer's record for most wins in a season by a first-year head coach in Idaho history with 18. With the victory over the Wildcats, Idaho is now a lock for the third seed in the Big Sky tournament, and will be playing its first game on Monday, March 10.

Idaho is led offensively by Nelson who currently has 1,974 career points. She set a new career high of 31 points on 11-15 from the floor and 4-4 from beyond the three-point line in Idaho's win against Northern Colorado. Nelson currently ranks third in the Big Sky Conference with a scoring average of 16.6 PPG in conference action.

Nelson's backcourt partner, Hope Hassmann, is coming off one of the best performances of her career. She scored a game-leading 21 points to go along with a contest-high seven assists as the Vandals controlled the game from wire-to-wire. The sophomore guard currently ranks ninth in the conference by scoring 12.3 PPG.

Montana State comes into the season finale as one of the best teams in Big Sky history with a 16-1 record in conference play and ranked 56 in the NET. The Bobcats lead the conference in scoring defense (55.8 PPG) and scoring margin (16.7). They are led by Esmeralda Morales and Marah Dykstra who are averaging 15.2 PPG and 13.0 PPG, respectively.
