MOSCOW, Idaho - Hard work pays off in many ways.
It paid off in the form of accolades for a pair student-athletes who made waves for Idaho basketball over the semester. On Tuesday, College Sports Communicators announced their 2025 Academic All-District Team. Featuring athletes from all levels of college basketball, the awards highlight those who made a difference on and off the court. To be eligible for consideration, an athlete must maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA while participating in at least 90% of regular season competitions OR starting in at least two-thirds of the same.
For the Vandals, senior Julius Mims and junior Isaiah Brickner earned placements on the annual listing for their commitments to their development on and off the court.
Mims, who just concluded his second season in Moscow, maintains a 3.81 cumulative GPA and will be receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the end of the spring semester. On the court, "Juice" started in thirty games during the season, averaging 8.6 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 1.1 blocks per contest. He continued his reputation for highlight reel dunks that brought the energy to the ICCU Arena all season long.
Brickner, a guard, played in all 33 games, starting four. He had multiple impressive performances from beyond the arc, finishing with the highest 3P% on the team (.438). He has maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA throughout his undergraduate pursuits, and is planning on pursuing a Master's Degree after he receives his Bachelor's in Psychology.
