MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandal men's golf team hosts the 16th Bandon Dunes Championship Sunday through Tuesday on the Bandon Trails course, rated as the No. 6 public course in the US by Golfweek, at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on the Oregon coast.
 
The field will include 16 teams from all over the country, including Oregon, Boston College, San Jose State, Air Force and more.
 
The tournament is scheduled for three rounds over three days with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 each morning, beginning Sunday.
 
The course plays at 6,794 yards with a par 71. It is a challenging course which winds its way through coast dunes, meadows and rain forest. It was designed by legendary designers Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and opened in 2005.
 
Eight Vandals will play in the tournament, Joe Sykes will play at No. 1 in the starting lineup for the Vandals while fellow Brits Sam Johnson and Josh McCartain will play the second and third spot respectively. Matt McGann will play at the No. 4 spot and Dalton Dean closes out the starting lineup at the fifth spot.
 
Tommy Kimmel, Charley Simpson and Carter Frisby will play as individuals for the event.
