Biko in the Building: RMAC Standout Signs with Vandals

Former First-Team All-Conference Threat Provides Playmaking Ability on Both Ends of the Court

MOSCOW, Idaho - On your feet, Moscow. Coach Alex Pribble and the Idaho Basketball staff have been hitting the recruiting trail hard, bringing in players that are ready to lead the Vandals to a Big Sky championship.

Today, Pribble and the staff are thrilled to announce the newest member of the 2025-26 team, as Biko Johnson has signed with Idaho and is making his way to the greatest setting in college basketball.

Biko (pronounced "BEEK-oh") spent the 24-25 season at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, where he established himself as one of the biggest scoring threats in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. A first-team all-RMAC selection, The rising fifth-year senior averaged a team-leading 16.3 PPG, second-best in the conference and a key factor in Fort Lewis' status as one of the most explosive offenses among Division II schools in the west.

Johnson also emerged as a high-effort defender on the perimeter, snagging the RMAC's second-best 2.1 steals, providing a versatile playmaker to the Vandals' roster whose head coach is thrilled to have aboard.

"Biko is the perfect fit for this team," said Pribble. "He's a combo guard with some real pop. He can score in a variety of ways and can really guard the ball well."

Johnson echoed the excitement of his new coach. He's ready to get to Moscow and demonstrate the work ethic that got the attention of the Vandals' staff.
"I'm very excited to get to work. I'm trying to do something that's never been done this season and that starts with [the] work," he said.

All sides of the program are excited for this signing, and coach Pribble knows one thing for sure: Vandal fans are going to love watching Biko Johnson dominate in the black and gold.

"The energy that Biko plays the game with is infectious. He has a high basketball IQ and he will be able to impact winning for us right away."
