Vandals Sign Long, Versatile Bend Product Will Jenson and Bellingham Perimeter Threat Talon Jenkins

MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho Basketball has brought in a series of big-time transfers to pursue the team's goal of a Big Sky Championship in 2026. Once an afterthought in the Big Sky, the culture instilled among the Vandals by head coach Alex Pribble has the program eyeing a conference title in just his third year.

While it's more important now than ever to build a roster for the upcoming year, looking long-term is still a crucial piece of development for a winning team.

"We believe that high schoolers are under-recruited right now," said Pribble. "And if we can find young men with a combination of talent, untapped potential, and work ethic, we want to get them in Vandal uniforms."

The coaching staff has done just that with the signings of Will Jenson and Talon Jenkins.

WILL JENSON
A two-time all-conference honoree out of Caldera High School in Bend, Oregon., the 6'8" big man earned honorable mention nods in 2024 before securing a first team selection in 2025 while also leading the state championship in scoring and rebounding as a senior.

A versatile player, Jenson holds multiple school records from his time in Bend, including most points scored in a game (33), most rebounds in a game (18), and most blocks in a game (5), also holding the single-season records for these same stats.

"Will is not only very long and athletic, but he has a very solid skill set," quoted Pribble on his new signee. "He is the son of a coach and he knows what it takes to work hard and develop. He has a great energy about him and we believe he will have a huge career here at Idaho."

TALON JENKINS
A 6'7" guard and forward out of Meridian High School in Bellingham, WA, Jenkins comes with high praise from his former teammates and new coaches anticipating his arrival in Moscow. The combo player was named first-team all-conference twice as well as receiving an all-state nod and a nomination to the all-state tournament team.

Jenkins currently holds his school's record for most points scored in a quarter with 20, and averaged that many PPG in his prep career alongside 8 RPG.

"Talon is another guy that has been around the game his whole life," said Pribble. "He knows what high-level college basketball is all about. It's rare to find a young man with his length, skill, and pure shooting ability. He's got a great work ethic and fits our culture. We can't wait to get the journey started with Talon."

The roster is coming together for the Vandals, and the sky is the limit for a team looking to pursue a Big Sky title in 2026.
