MOSCOW, Idaho – Vandal head women's golf coach Stephanie Young announced the signing of Western Carolina transfer Ella Kozak, a native of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Thursday.
 
Kozak comes to Moscow after one season at Western Carolina. She played in all 10 events for the Catamounts and was second on the team with a 78.32 scoring average.
 
Her best finish was a nine-over, 18th-place finish at the Tulane Green Wave Invite, just her second career tournament.
 
As a junior, she was a three-time medalist at the SHSAA Provincial Championship and holds the Saskatchewan Provincial girls 54-hole record at five-under.
 
She competed in the 2022 US Girls National Championship.
 
Her parents are Rob and Dianna Kozak. Her father played Division I hockey for Ferris State where he met his wife. Ella has dual US and Canadian citizenship.
 
Kozak will join the team in August with three years of eligibility remaining.
